The Riverside County Waste Management Department is seeking volunteers to work with the Riverside County Backyard Composting Program.  Volunteer "master composters" will attend a training course for four Saturdays, and will then donate back a minimum of 40 hours to the program.

Volunteers are needed for staffing Saturday morning workshops, classroom presentations, and community group presentations.  It's a great way to learn more about recycling organic resources and getting to know others with similar interests!  The training class will be on Saturdays from 7:30 am to 2:15 p.m. in Moreno Valley, starting August 3 through August 24.  Books and study materials will be provided by the department.  Limited seats are available.

For more information and to register for classes, please contact Riverside County Waste Management Department at (951) 486-3200 or by email to WasteCompRecyc@co.riverside.ca.us
