The Riverside County Flood Control District will temporarily close half a mile of the Santa Ana River Trail between the S. Riverside Ave./Main St. and Highgrove Channel to the south in order for staff to perform necessary work along the levee. The closure will take place on Wednesday (Aug. 9), Thursday (Aug. 10) and Monday (Aug.24), between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For safety reasons, flood control staff will erect barriers daily to close the trail and remove them at the end of the day’s work. The SART will re-open each evening after 4:30 p.m.
For more information about this closure, contact Zully Smith at the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District at (951) 955-1280.
