The Riverside County Registrar of Voters office certified the results of the Nov. 8 consolidated general election on Tuesday (12/6) and forwarded the certified results to the Board of Supervisors.
As the June 7 primary election nears, California’s rules covering primary elections have created some confusion for vote-by-mail voters, especially among voters who might receive two ballots if they changed their political party preference or registered as “No Party Preference.”
Approximately 876,000 sample ballots and information pamphlets started going out to Riverside County voters today (April 28) for the presidential primary election on June 7. About half will be mailed initially, with the remainder sent by the end of next week.
Tuesday (Aug. 25) is Election Day. The election includes the High Valleys Water District, Idyllwild Water District, Pine Cove Water District, Rancho California Water District and is not a countywide election. It is also an all mail ballot election, so there will be no established polling places.

The final, official election results and statement of votes are available on the Registrar of Voters’ website at www.voteinfo.net.
For voters in Riverside County who want to avoid the lines at the polls on Election Day, or who may have missed the opportunity to vote by mail, early voting might be the answer. Early voting will be available Saturday (Nov. 1) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Registrar of Voters office, 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside.
To ensure that ballots reach election officials in time to be counted in Tuesday’s election, voters should not return their ballots by mail after tomorrow (Oct. 29).
Monday (Oct. 20) is the deadline for voters to register and be eligible to cast a ballot in the Nov. 4 election.
