County Counsel Profiles Kristine Bell-Valdez Deputy County Counsel Kristine Bell-Valdez joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2008. Since joining the office, Ms. Bell-Valdez has represented the Department of Public Social Services in Juvenile Dependency cases in both the Riverside Juvenile and the Southwest Justice Center.   She obtained her law degree from the University of La Verne, College of Law in 2007; were she graduated cum laude and received several awards including being named a Student of Distinction. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in criminology.   Prior to joining the office Ms. Bell- Valdez held employment in the fields of Health and Human Service, and law. During law school she interned with several law firms, a federal district judge and a federal agency. During her first year of practice, Ms. Bell-Valdez was in private practice in the areas of family law, product liability, and personal injury.
