On May 22, 2013, at the Mission Inn, the Leo A. Deegan chapter of the American Inns of Court for the 2012-2013 program year presented Deputy County Counsel Sophia Choi with the Louise Biddle Award.

The award is given by vote of the Board to a barrister attorney who exemplifies the goals of the Inn of professionalism and dedication to the legal community. Sophia Choi has been a member of the Inn since 2009 and has been voted by the members of the Inn to serve as Board member for program year 2013.

Robyn Lewis, President of the Inn, presented Ms. Choi with the award in the form of a hardcover book entitled Out of Order: Stories from the History of the Supreme Court by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman to sit on the United States Supreme Court.
