June 2-3, 2012 - Deputy County Counsel, Tiffany North, joined over 2800 walkers and crew in Chicago, IL to participate in her 6th Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. This year's 39.3 mile route started and ended at Soldier Field, with many beautiful sites along the way. Through the support of family, friends and colleagues, Tiffany raised close to $2700 this year and has raised over $18,000 since she started these walks in 2008. All together, Avon Walkers participating in this year's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Chicago raised a total of over $6.3 million dollars. The money raised is managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, to provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures.
