Following the shooting today in San Bernardino, Riverside County sheriff’s officials were placed on high alert and ambulances from Riverside County responded to help care for victims.
Members of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors were updated about the shooting during the day and the Sheriff’s Department reported it was “taking precautions to keep our communities safe. We ask the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to your local law enforcement.” The sheriff’s hazardous device team also responded to a call for assistance from San Bernardino.
There is no credible threat that any incidents might occur in Riverside County but county administrators and sheriff’s officials will continue to monitor the situation and update the community as events unfold. Residents also should be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to authorities.
