Join First 5 Riverside, the Riverside County Children & Families Commission, as we host a Talk. Read. Sing. 0-5 Family Zone including diaper changing stations, a lactation lounge, early learning activities, baby/toddler play and more in the Junior Building at this year’s Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival Feb. 12-21 in Indio.
“We're preparing to share how families can talk, read and sing with young children in almost any setting, creating more enriching experiences to help them learn and grow,” said Tammi Graham, executive director of First 5 Riverside, a countywide agency that supports early learning, child health and family strengthening to help Riverside County children through age 5 thrive.
On opening weekend, we will have special guest "edutainers" from First 5 California bringing games, stories and a cool kid’s karaoke "sing" station. The fun will continue throughout the week with First 5 Riverside partners sharing program details and activities especially for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
Diaper changing and nursing accommodations will be available daily 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Children through age five are admitted free every day at the Fair (www.datefest.org). The Riverside County Fairgrounds are located at 82-503 Hwy. 111 in Indio.
