The Boards of Supervisors for Riverside and San Bernardino counties will meet in joint session Tuesday (9/16) to discuss issues that face both counties, from the changing health-care system to a shift that sends more state prison inmates and parolees to counties for local supervision.
Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone will ask the Board of Supervisors Tuesday to oppose a statewide initiative that would reduce most non-violent crimes from felonies to misdemeanors, and allow re-sentencing for thousands of convicted felons in state prison.

Jerry Brown met in Riverside with several top county officials.
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors today voted 5-0 to “Free the Food Trucks” in the county beginning April 8. Riverside County is possibly the only county in California that had maintained an outright prohibition on preparing hot food in a mobile food facility without a special-event permit.
