A 1.5-mile street repaving project that will make driving safer on Stanford Street in Hemet was approved today (Tuesday) by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. The project is part of a broader $7.5 million effort to improve roads in the Hemet area.
RIVERSIDE – Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and the National Guard and federal and state reservists living in Riverside County will have their service honored with free admission into the Date Festival and Edward-Dean Museum and numerous benefits that go into effect on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
Supervisor Jeff Stone has asked Riverside County to post a reward of up to $10,000 for new information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for damaging a statue of Pres. Ronald Reagan in Temecula.
The Board of Supervisors will meet in Palm Desert tomorrow, taking its regular Board meeting out of the county seat for a rare meeting in another location within Riverside County.
